Job Placement

For the Class of
2004-2005 - 68 out of 73 graduates are working in the field of
welding, giving us a 95% placement rate.
The staff at Modern Welding School is
in constant contact with potential employers. The school and employers
work together in an effort to match job requirements with
the students' training and qualifications. These employers frequently
call us for welders. We then recommend the best available
graduate for the position. The school cannot guarantee you a job.
Our
placement office offers the following services:
- A theory class on industry needs.
- Resume preparation and job readiness skills assistance.
- Student interviews during the last quarter of school
and "exit interviews" to gather final data for placement
after graduation.
- A list of potential employers.
- Assistance in arranging interviews for graduates.
Recruiters from local companies and throughout
the U.S. come on site to Modern Welding School to talk to our
students about relocation and job opportunities in the welding
industry.
Modern Welding offers on site tours to
over 40 companies, local companies as well as plant tours, to
observe the operations, and meet the people who can guide you
in the direction you would like to go.
We also offer in house seminars featuring
Hypertherm, Miller, and Lincoln providing students with the cutting
edge in technology, as well as, in house seminars on safety such
as 3M and M.S.A. to introduce our students to the newest safety
equiptment and safety issues.
Individual courses
are available for experienced welders.
